She is also the founder of Society for the Advancement of Children’s Literature, a non-profit organization. She has written essays and given lectures on children’s literature.

GM. Sudarta was born in Klaten in 1946. He has been a cartoonist of Kompas – Jakarta since 1967. He served on the Jury for the INABBY (Indonesia Board on books for Young People) Illustration Contest. He has also taken part in international exhibitions and cartoon seminars.
